Podcasting: Toni Farmer’s Garden: The Podcast
Toni Farmer is a gardening influencer with 250K+ Instagram followers. She wanted to enhance her educational content with a long-form product that explored our food system, so we started her podcast for bi-weekly conversations with food experts and farmers. Today, Toni Farmer’s Garden: The Podcast has a 4.9-star rating on Apple Podcasts, and she has since started a Patreon.

Social Media Series: The Goal is to Become A Gardener
When SJ Mag Media began diving into video, I helped them create their successful social media series: The Goal is to Become A Gardener. We’re currently shooting Season 7. We started with 5-minute videos, zero sponsors and about 15,000 views for the first episodes, and have grown to producing 15-minute episodes with multiple sponsors each that get 100,000 views and have a loyal following.

Social Media Series: adapting The Goal is to Become A Gardener
As social media evolved and Instagram/Facebook fully embraced short-form video, The Goal is to Become A Gardener had to evolve too. This year, for season 7, the format has changed to weekly 1 1/2-minute videos that continue to engage our loyal following and deliver up-to-date information.

CONTENT ACROSS PLATFORMS
Entering its 26th year, SJ Mag Media was looking to continue expanding its digital footprint, especially when it came to stories that are featured in the print magazine. So, for a story about meet cutes, I conducted interviews, wrote the article, took photos, made social media videos and shot the cover photo. One topic was covered with photos, words, videos and social media.

Writing (social media)
I have a decade of experience writing for social media, and have most recently added myself to the list of people I’ve written thought-leadership content for.

Writing (long-form)
I write regularly for SJ Mag Media – from short-form web stories to long-form print articles. This is an article I wrote about a local fossil park that became a museum and public dig site (it was established by one of the world’s top paleontologists, who I’ve interviewed a few times and is very cool honestly).
